Feedback system
method of regulation of hormone levels where the target hormone affects the production of the stimulating hormone, either negatively (inhibits production) or positively (stimulates production) [Toggle]
Hyperparathyroidism
overactive parathyroid glands, classified as primary, secondary, or tertiary depending on cause of parathyroid hyperactivity and the presence of hyper- or hypocalcemia [Toggle]
Hypoparathyroidism
a disorder related to inadequate secretion of parathyroid hormone by the parathyroid glands resulting in abnormally low levels of calcium in the blood [Toggle]
