Aldosterone

a hormone released in response to angiotensin II that causes excretion of potassium and retention of water and sodium [toggle]

Angiotensin

proteins of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system. Angiotensin I is produced by the actions of renin on angiotensinogen, and angiotensin II is produced by the actions of angiotensin-converting enzyme on angiotensin I [toggle]
