William J. Spruill, Pharm.D.Dr. Spruill is an Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical and Administrative Pharmacy at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy and clinical pharmacist at St Mary's Health Care System Inc. Athens, Georgia. Dr. Spruill received his B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Georgia's College of Pharmacy and then completed an American Society of Hospital Pharmacy accredited residency and Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and has served on various committees and task forces for both the American College of Clinical Pharmacy and The American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy . Dr. Spruill teaches Clinical Pharmacokinetics for Georgia's traditional and nontraditional Pharm D. program and also offers a three-day Pharmacokinetics workshop for practicing pharmacists. Dr. Spruill has numerous publications in academic and professional journals, mainly related to issues in pharmacy practice including pharmacokinetics. Current research interests involve the formation of the Clinical Outcomes Research Group (CORG) at UGA and the Community Pharmacist Research Network (CPR-net) for the purpose of performing various Pharmacy-care related outcomes studies. |
