William E. Wade, Pharm.D.

Dr. William E. Wade is Professor of Pharmacy in the Department of Clinical and Administrative Pharmacy at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy and clinical pharmacist at St Mary's Health Care System Inc. Athens, Georgia. Dr. Wade received both his B.S. in Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy Degrees from the University of Georgia's College of Pharmacy. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, a Diplomate of the American Academy of Pain Management and a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. He teaches Clinical Pharmacokinetics for Georgia's traditional and nontraditional Doctor of Pharmacy program and also offers a three-day Pharmacokinetics workshop for practicing pharmacists. Dr. Wade has numerous publications in academic and professional journals. Current research interests include cost analyses of venous thromboembolism prophylaxis.
