We look forward to welcoming you in December to fabulous Las Vegas; known for the Las Vegas Strip, the Rat Pack; and now the 44th ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting and Exhibition. We are delighted you will be joining our exhibition to make this our best Midyear Meeting yet. Las Vegas is consistently the largest attendee draw and our registrations are already ahead of previous years. The meeting will be held in the newly expanded Venetian Hotels and Sands Expo Center. Preparation is in full swing! The information provided in this newsletter will help you plan your visit to this must attend meeting.

Important Dates
September 4 – Exhibitor Service kit goes live on the ASHP website
October 1 – A complete rooming list with names must be submitted for all blocks held. Any rooms not reserved will be released. Requests for additional rooms will be based on availability. Cancellations after October 1, 2009 will be subject to a $50.00 cancellation processing fee, per reservation.
October 5 – Exhibitor badge manager goes live on the ASHP website.

Opening Session
Join us Monday, December 7, from 9:00-10:30am to hear Dennis Quaid tell how he and his wife, Kimberly, became motivated to launch The Quaid Foundation, an organization whose mission is to help minimize the impact of human error in patient medical care. Be sure to attend this memorable, must-see event. We invite all registered exhibitors to attend this must see event.

Wednesday Evening Concert-Sponsorship Available
While we know there is always something to see and do in Las Vegas, and you are surrounded by some of the best restaurants and nightlife in the world, ASHP is offering our attendees and exhibitors a casual after dinner option and opportunity to enjoy with colleagues, clients and friends! The Wednesday Concert will feature live music that will appeal across generations and have everyone singing or on their feet dancing to some of their favorite songs! Cash bars and dry snacks will be provided.

New this year! This event is complimentary for all exhibitors!

Thursday Networking Luncheon-Sponsorship Available
The Thursday Networking Luncheon is a highly successful event that attracts many attendees and exhibitors on the final day of the meeting. Craig Karges, our featured speaker, is extraordinary! His blend of mystery, humor, psychology and intuition; dazzles the mind as he challenges his audiences to question what is real and what is unreal, what is possible and what is impossible. Consider attending this event on Thursday, from 12:05PM-1:50PM. Tickets can be purchased, on a space available basis, at the registration desk for just $35!

Online Service Kit and Exhibitor Badges
Your service kit will be available on the ASHP Website in early September. Be sure to take advantage of the early bird discounts, where applicable, by getting your order in before the November 20th deadline. Exhibitor Badge information including your ID and password to enter the online badge site will be emailed to you in the September Newsletter. Exhibiting companies will receive four complimentary full registration badges per 10 x10 booth reserved.

Sponsorship and Corporate Support Packages
Reach your clients and support ASHP by sponsoring any of our highly visible meeting activities. Sponsors from past Midyear Meetings have boasted successful participation. Like sponsorships, Corporate Support Packages offer exhibiting companies further recognition and prestige throughout the entire event, along with various upgrades to the traditional booth fees. Hotel Reservations and Meeting Space Requests
All hotel reservations must be made through The Housing Connection. Click here to book a room or secure a sub block. All requests for 10 or more rooms require ASHP’s prior approval. ALL Exhibitors MUST READ our Exhibitor Hotel Room Block Policies [PDF] prior to submitting the hotel reservation form. ASHP strongly encourages you to send your rooming list in as early as possible, by doing so if any rooms are going to be released we are able to accommodate your customers in their preferred hotel. Your final list will dictate the number of rooms you will be entitled to block in future years so please book responsibly.

Reminder: The Exhibit Hall closes at 2:00pm on Wednesday. Exhibitors are invited to attend the Wednesday Evening Concert at the Venetian.

All meeting space requests must be submitted to ASHP via the online web request form. Please note: If you are holding client meetings in a suite reserved at a meeting hotel, you must also submit the business function request form which too can be found on the above online web request form.

ASHP Product Theaters
New this year! ASHP is now offering Product Theaters. These programs provide an opportunity for commercial organizations to present information about their product or services or therapeutic areas to pharmacists attending the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting. These are considered promotional and therefore, do not offer CE credit for attendance.
