ASHP thanks you for exhibiting at our 44th Midyear Clinical Meeting and Exhibition, in Las Vegas, NV at the world renowned Venetian Hotels and Sands Expo center. We are pleased to announce ASHP registration is tracking higher than any other at thirteen weeks out. Spread the word to colleagues and friends about this must-attend pharmacy conference of the year! The information in this newsletter has been provided to help you plan effectively in advance of the meeting.

  

Late Breaking News
This year you will experience a “star-studded” line up like never before. You will be face-to-face with the likes of Dennis Quaid, Kevin Bacon and Alizma, the violin playing triplets recently seen on “America’s Got Talent.”

Important Dates
October 1 - A complete rooming list with names must be submitted for all blocks held. Any rooms not reserved will be released. Requests for additional rooms will be based on availability. Cancellations after October 1, 2009 will be subject to a $50.00 cancellation processing fee, per reservation.
October 20 - Deadline to order the early bird pre-registrant list which includes titles and affiliation
November 3 - Deadline to order the pre-registrant list.
November 23 - Submission of exhibitor personnel and free Client Badges.

Exhibitor Service Kit and Badge Information
Service Kit
The online service kit is now available. It includes pricing and order forms for utility and other service contractors, furniture rental, labor, lead retrieval devices, and more. Order now to receive advance discounts before November 20!

The exhibits are in Halls A/B of the Sands Expo Center.

Client Badges
In addition to your regular customers, ASHP will now offers client badges for local business clients. These badges will allow your client access to the exhibit hall for the designated day only and they will not include a full conference registration. Each exhibiting company will be offered ten (10) client badges for their local clients.

To take advantage of this offer, you will need to submit a completed Client Badge Form. Note: All information must be complete in order to process your client badges. This offer is exclusive to local clients. No onsite additions will be accepted. These badges are for local client use only. They are not intended for exhibit booth personnel. You must email this list to Michelle Rasnick Tyler at mtyler@ashp.org by November 23.

The exhibitor badge website is now open. To use this site, you must login with your ASHP Customer ID number and password provided below.

Click here to request your exhibitor badges (for booth personnel and those requiring a full conference registration), make necessary edits/changes, and print confirmations as needed.

PLEASE NOTE THAT BADGES ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE. If you make changes to your exhibit personnel on-site, the new representative should be prepared to pay a fee of $75.00 for each badge. This does not pertain to changes made in advance of the meeting. The deadline for requesting exhibitor badges is November 23.

OPENING GENERAL SESSION
Monday, December 7 • 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Dennis Quaid, an advocate for reducing medical errors, has been chosen as this year’s Opening General Session speaker.

And get your seats early as you won't want to miss this year’s opening act. Recently performing on “America’s Got Talent,” Alizma are identical triplets from Poland who are not only bright and beautiful but exceptionally talented. With master’s degrees in violin performance, this trio will enchant the audience with their brilliant instrumentation.

WEDNESDAY EVENING
PERFORMER JUST CONFIRMED!
Be There Or Be Square....You'll be "one degree of separation" from world renowned actor and musician Kevin Bacon and his older brother Michael, as The Bacon Brothers kick-it-up-a-notch during the traditional Wednesday social event. The concert is designed as an after dinner, final chance to have some fun with fellow exhibitors and attendees in a casual setting. Cash bars and snacks will be served. NEW, added benefit for exhibitors: This event is included with your exhibitor badge.

Reminder: A complete rooming list with names must be submitted to The Housing Connection by October 1. After this date, rooms without names will be released and requests for additional rooms will be based on availability. Your final list will dictate the number of rooms you will be entitled to block in future years so please book responsibly.

Remember when booking flights that some airlines are now charging extra fees for excess baggage. Joining the airlines mileage program is usually the best way to avoid these fees. Be sure to check with your airline before booking.

Exhibit Yellow Pages
ASHP is excited to once again offer this opportunity to increase your company’s visibility to our meeting attendees. This low cost promotional tool allows meeting attendees to easily search for your company’s booth in print and electronically. All exhibiting companies will receive a Basic booth listing which includes the company name, address and booth number. Companies who purchase an enhanced or premium listing will have the ability to highlight their products and services by providing a 50 word description, a color logo, as well as, a clickable link to their company’s website on the interactive floorplan. Printed versions will be distributed outside of the exhibit hall and the electronic version will be hosted on the Midyear Clinical Meeting website for one year.
