NEW & NOTABLE:

Hotels -
The cut off date to make a hotel reservation has been extended until May 28 at 5:00 p.m. Central Time or until the group block is sold out, whichever occurs first. After this date, reservations will be made based on availability and hotels may charge higher rates. All hotels are within walking distance to the Convention Center.  If you have not made your reservation, click here to book a room today!

Monday Evening FREE Shuttle to Downtown Chicago -
If you have not already done so, click here to reserve your seat on the Shuttle Bus to Downtown Chicago. Shuttle buses will begin loading from the Convention Center Main Lobby at 5:45 p.m. and will depart for downtown at 6:00p.m. Return shuttles will begin loading from downtown at 9:30 p.m. and will depart for Rosemont at 10:00 p.m. or when full. If you would like to remain downtown past 10:00 p.m., you are responsible for your own transportation back to Rosemont. A detailed schedule and important information related to the service will be available in your program bag or at the Meeting Info desk onsite. Guests are welcome and can purchase a ticket for $25 on-site at Staffed Registration, Exhibit Hall G, Level 2.

Rosemont Convention & Tourism Bureau/Concierge Services Desk -
Convention Center, Main Lobby, Level 1 Sunday:
9 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday & Tuesday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
The Rosemont Convention & Tourism Bureau is proud to offer the following Concierge Services to ASHP:

  • Flight Schedule for O’Hare provided on digital reader board
 

Networking Lounge & Recharging Station - 
South Ballroom Foyer (adjacent to the Skybridge), Level 2
The Networking Lounge & Recharging Station provides a comfortable atmosphere for all Summer Meeting participants to join up with each other and relax between sessions
(Note: Power outlets will be available to recharge your cell phone, laptop, and/or blackberry)

Reminder! Facebook and Twitter -
ASHP has introduced social networking sites on Facebook and Twitter to provide attendees with meeting updates and a fun state-of-the-art way to communicate with one another. “First time” attendees are being invited to participate in our “Buddy” program this year. By visiting the site they can be matched up with a “veteran” who can show them the ropes.

Industry Supported Dinner Symposia – "Ensuring the Safety of Medications: Key Pharmacy Implications of the FDA Amendment Act of 2007" -  
Monday, June 15, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Hyatt Regency O'Hare
This session is for pharmacists interested in current FDA regulations including potential components of a risk evaluation and mitigation strategy (REMS) for a new or existing medication, involved in the procurement of medications, or education of medical staff.

ASHP AND THE COMMUNITY:
LEND A HELPING HAND!
ASHP has partnered with Helping Hands, a non-profit, unsubsidized local effort of the Rosemont Fire and Police department. Year-round, Helping Hands provides food, clothing, educational programs and summer camp financial assistance to local children and adults. We are encouraging all of those who can, to donate to this cause. Donation receptacles will be located in the Exhibit Hall and ASHP Town Center. ASHP and Helping Hands thank you for your support.
