Webinar Overview

5S is a simple and easy-to-use tool that assists in organizing the workplace in an efficient, and safe manner to enhance productivity, polish visual management, and to ensure the introduction of standardized processes. Due to ease of use, flexibility, and effectiveness, 5S is often the first Lean tool that departments use for process improvement. In this interactive webinar, a case-based description of multiple 5S projects in the pharmacy workplace will be reviewed and tools for getting started and conducting a 5S event will be shared.

Time for questions and answers will be provided at the end of the presentation.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this knowledge-based continuing education activity, participants should be able to

  • Explain the 5 steps of the 5S process.
  • Describe the benefits of visual management.
  • List the pitfalls to avoid when conducting a 5S event.
