This continuing pharmacy education activity was planned to meet the needs of pharmacists in a variety of practice settings, including large and small health systems, outpatient clinics, managed-care organizations, long-term care facilities, and academia. In today's healthcare environment, pharmacy leaders and staff are challenged to implement cost-saving plans while maintaining a high-level of patient care. To be successful, pharmacists are using Lean process improvement tools to create change that will demonstrate sustainable positive patient outcomes. Known for producing useful results, the power of A3 comes from the development of the culture that supports application of the A3 problem solving process.
